LinkedIn Blocks Giving request_failed Error

Hey all, are these LinkedIn blocks new? I haven’t seen them before. I tried testing them but they don’t seem to work. Both give me the error “Error: Error: request_failed” even though the URLs are correct.

Hi @Kubi,

Thanks for the post.

LinkedIn sometimes restricts certain profiles from guest access, which means the scraper can’t read the page. The quickest way to check is to paste the profile link into an Incognito tab and see if it loads.

The service the LinkedIn scrapers use behind the scenes is having an outage right now: Scrapingdog :frowning:

21 days further and I’m having the same problem…
I’ve tried several URL’s with other scrapers and they work just fine. It’s only the built in scraping block on Mindstudio that gives the error code like OP. Any fixes coming for this soon please?

Hi @etvl,

Sorry to hear about this.

Could you share the names of the scrapers you used and the URLs that aren’t working with the built-in scrapers?

These ones, and as far as the URL’s go: Any URL. Doesn’t matter which one.

Hi @etvl,

The Scrape LinkedIn blocks only work on pages that LinkedIn makes available without logging in.

Could you share the names of the scrapers you’ve found that work across all LinkedIn pages?

The built in scrapers on Relevance Ai, for example. PhantomBuster works as well.

Every URL i’ve tried with those scrapers, worked. With the MindStudio scrapers, It didn’t (I even tried out very large accounts such as Richard Branson for example).

LinkedIn is quite resistant to scraping (which is why some of those companies have been able to build big businesses around it!). I’ve reached out to the third-party vendor we rely on for LinkedIn scraping to see if there is anything they can do to improve our results.
