Hello, I’m creating an agent that can both scrape the web and ingest internal content (pdf, json, etc) and provide a summary. I changed the step to accept all file types, but I’ve tried including both a pdf and json file, and I keep getting error messages. “I apologize but I cannot access the external URL or JSON file referenced in the ISP feedback document. Without the actual content of the feedback. I cannot generate a meaningful analysis. If you could provide the specific ISP feedback text directly in the message. I would be happy to analyze it and create the JSON-formatted response as requested. The current input only contains a placeholder URL which I cannot retrieve or read."

Thanks for sharing the link!
It looks like the Agent was generated with the Architect. While that does about 90% of the work, it’s still important to test and make sure everything runs as expected.
In this case, I can see that some block configurations haven’t been filled out or are missing the {{json yourVariable}} style syntax. We cover testing and debugging in more detail in this video:
If you’d like to avoid dealing with Custom Functions in generated agents, you can specifically prompt the Architect not to include them.

I went through all of the custom functions and am continung to get an error on my Mindstudio workflow (Failed to parse ISP analysis data: ISP analysis data must be either a JSON string or an object). Do you have 10 minutes to help debug live this week? Alternately, I’m attaching the debugger file. Thanks so much!

Please review the Debugger logs. Walking through the steps there will show that some of the Custom Functions aren’t producing valid results.
If you open the first Custom Function in the list, you’ll see the correct formatting in the Configurations tab. The others, however, show up as a single string. That’s why you can’t configure their settings properly in the Automations tab.
There are a couple of options:
- Review the Custom Function configurations and adjust both the code and the settings in the Automations tab so they receive the right variables and save outputs to the variables expected in later blocks
- Regenerate the Agent and prompt the Architect not to include any Custom Functions
If you’re just getting started with MindStudio, I’d recommend building a few Agents manually first. That way, you’ll understand the logic behind Agents, and the Architect will be much more powerful to use it on the go.
