Clarification on Using MindStudio Credits for External Custom Apps

I’d like to clarify whether the credits in my MindStudio account can be used beyond the MindStudio platform. Specifically:

  • Can I tap on my account credits to make API inference calls to models (e.g., GPT-5 or others in the Model Garden) when building and running my own external custom AI applications (outside of MindStudio)?

  • Or are the credits strictly limited to creating and deploying apps within the MindStudio environment only?

Appreciate your guidance on this so I can plan the development of my custom apps accordingly.

Hi @el2030,

Your MindStudio credits are only for use inside the platform. They can’t be applied to external API calls or custom apps you build outside of MindStudio.

If you’re looking to run models directly through an API, you’d need to set up an account with the provider and handle usage there.
