Agent Embed Qty Limits on $100 plan

Embed up to “3” AI Agents? What if I have a portfolio of Agents for a target audience that exceeds 3? I don’t understand the need for such a constraint. Do I simply create an orchestrator agent as a hack?

I didn’t even understand the constraint to begin with. Like you can only have 3 different agents embedded in your site or 3 agents per client or…?

I have a set of tools for teachers (12 agents), does this mean in order to deploy this I need to pay $400/month so that I can embed them on my website? Not sure I can turn a profit this way. I would be able to pay $100/month if there was not this constraint. Is there a constraint because it is a cost issue that has to do with token usage or some other metric? If so, could we pay on a per traffic basis? Either way, we really need to be able to embed agents at a reasonable monthly fee rate. 3 agents doesn’t fit the concept of the value offering the devs are presenting to companies- a group of automation tools.

I think what we’re seeing is that they want us going out and embedding agents into corporate enterprises more so than build agents for consumer consumption or trying to attract one-off corporate users.

If I continue, I will be implementing the tools I create with project and coaching clients (innovation and growth strategy) exclusively. I’ll also consider selling the “toolkit” for some ridiculous price like $7,500 (installed on their account). This way, I benefit from higher margin, scarcity, and MS benefits from expansion into corporate accounts.

Is there room for a more consumer-friendly model? Potentially, but maybe they’ve figure out that the quickest path to initial growth is through the Enterprise. Otherwise, they get lost in all of the Manus and Genspark nonesense.

I was super excited when I saw the email about embedding and was ready to build some new tools this weekend. I don’t mind paying the hundred dollars as well, but three embeds is a constraint that I can’t live with. Sigh!

It absolutely makes zero sense unless they’re trying to discourage the use of this feature

I am curious. I have an app that allows you to upload a picture and act as a fashion designer.

I was thinking of moving from pro to business. Would going this route make sense with the embedded agents, or am I missing something here?

The goal is to let users try the app they pay via Stripe

A. Do you intend to publish more than 3 agents?
B. Can you earn more than $100 a month from that agent?

That would be the goal, so give it a shot. My app is working, so I would probably need someone to test it on mobile and desktop. Who did you use to hire someone to test?

I agree, and I want to embed some and see how it works; however, three agents is way too little.

From a cost/financial perspective, why does there need to be a limit. What is the exact cost being incurred by MindStudio in allowing embeds? Seems consensus the community wants unlimited embeds, and if it can’t be unlimited, are willing to pay for the ability to embed numerous agents. One of the unique value proposition MS affords developers to offer clients is a suite of tools, hence embeds are critical. Helps understand the logic behind the restrictive number.

Just saw this update on the pricing page. So now the Business plan does not come with 3 AI agent embedding and we will have to pay an additional $20 per agent?

Please clarify if I misintepreted this.

But that seems increase the price even more if you are doing 3 agents- you are now paying $160/month vs $100(+3 embeds). So how is that an improvement? For simple RAG chatbots you can get unlimited with HighLevel. Should it include the first 3 and any beyond that $20/month per agent, right?

I am on the business plan and asked about this, and they said that they would grandfather in anyone who is already on the business plan. This pricing is just going forward. So we get 3 free agents per month, and pay for additional ones. New folks joining will have to pay regular price, starting with the first embedded agent. Pays to be an early adopter I guess

Hi all,

  1. Anyone on a Business plan before 3 PM ET 5/14 will be grandfathered in with 3 embeds included in the subscription.
  2. Our go forward Business plan = $100/mo with +$20/mo for each embedded agent
  3. We’ll have a special deal for our OG users

Thanks,

Hi Jerry,

So if I am already on the Business plan, and I want to add one more embed, I will need to pay an extra $20 a month? Is that correct?

If so, the option to do so is not currently showing at the moment.

I would not count on it, to be honest.

Just my two cents, there may be things that I have missed or misunderstood, but I was on the $50 plan before being moved to a Legacy Plan in November 2024. Since then, the Legacy Plan has been shut down in March, mentioning that embedding was a security threat (exact words : “Embedding introduces security and privacy vulnerabilities” and offering a Bubble template (which requires API access).

From what I see and understand (and I acknowledge I may be wrong—I find the available information difficult to comprehend, as there isn’t much), the “unsecure embedding” option still exists in the Signed URL (so the reason to shutdown the Legacy plan was not security? Or is the new embedding option still not secure?).
And with this embedding option, the API access is now also locked into the $100 plan (meaning the Bubble template is not usable without the Business Plan (and the Bubble costs)).

So… I would not count on grandfathered plans and feature continuity right now, to be honest. I understand the need to update pricing, but frankly, I don’t feel confident building long-term projects for clients on MindStudio at the moment.

I love the product and the team, and I will still use it for personal projects and quick proof of concepts. However, I will likely rebuild things on N8N, Replit, or Lovable while keeping an eye on how things evolve here and hoping for the best.

Hi @francois,

You’re right that the legacy embedding option was shut down due to security risks. We strongly recommend using Signed URLs to minimize the risks of unauthorized access to your agents.

There’s still a lightweight option available for testing and prototyping. It’s not meant for production use since runs might not persist, and access to history is limited. It’s really there to make frontend testing easier, not to replace proper security controls.

Regarding the Bubble integration, if you were on the Community Plan before it was phased out, your API access should still be active. Nothing was removed for users who were grandfathered in.

I get your concerns, but I do want to mention that the new setup is a big step forward in terms of both security and reliability.

Hope this clears things up.

Jerry, I will sign up but you post by May 14, which was yesterday. Can you give us until the end of the day today please May 15, I am just hearing about this this morning.

I’m genuinely disappointed with Mindstudio.

When I first discovered the platform about a year ago, the promise was incredible: build AI agents and small applications that I could distribute or even sell. The agents were self-hosted and accessible to users without requiring a Mindstudio account. It was the perfect setup for what I had in mind — offering mini-tools as lead magnets or as a complement to my service offerings.

If I’m not mistaken, the business model at the time involved a fee based on AI usage costs. Then came a subscription tier — fair enough. My company was still pre-operational, so I didn’t subscribe. But now that we’re finally going to market, I came back to review my drafts and was ready to upgrade and use Mindstudio in production.

To my surprise, public agents were removed, and this new “embed pricing monster” was introduced — which, by your own admission, isn’t even that secure.

Let me be clear: I have nothing but praise for the product itself. It’s fantastic — simple, powerful, and unlike anything else out there. But the business model built on top of it is, frankly, disappointing (sorry, Mindstudio team — but that’s how I feel).

The Business plan pricing is simply prohibitive for small businesses, especially where I’m based, where $1 equals six times our local currency. And the limit of three agents — with an extra $20 per additional agent — just doesn’t make sense. Nowadays, there are so many great tools offering a lot more value for $20/month. As another member here said, it might be better to hire a freelancer or build with Lovable or a similar tool — long-term, it would be far more cost-effective.

I’m also an entrepreneur, and I understand the pursuit of a fair subscription model. I respect that. And I know how much pressure founders must be under from investors, especially while managing a high burn rate. I guess that’s part of why you’ve shifted to browser-based agents.

But I can’t help feeling frustrated by how much potential is being wasted.

I see these no-code AI agents as a true disruption in the infoproducts and online education market. I run an online course platform and had planned to offer one agent per course — enabling our instructors to charge more and differentiate themselves. I also intended to create dedicated lead generation agents for each course. In the AI race, scale is everything — and Mindstudio seems to be heading in the opposite direction, unfortunately.

Anyway… I just had to get this off my chest.

If I’m writing all this, it’s because I truly value what you’re building. And I’m genuinely saddened by the direction things have taken.
