Is it possible to put an entire workspace and accompanying agents behind a paywall?
Not at this time, no
Thanks, Sean. Does that mean I can only direct people to individual agents behind a paywall?
You can setup a paywall with most website builders (Wordpress, SquareSpace, Ghost, etc.). Then, you embed one or multiple agents behind the paywall. Dmitry does an example here: Easily launch AI Agent Micro SaaS businesses -- make recurring revenue… | Dmitry Shapiro
This requires the Business plan + embedding.
Jerry, I don’t want to use embedding. It is too limiting. I did that in 2024, before the older form of embedding was discontinued, and it just doesn’t work well; users do not enjoy hopping around different links to find various agents.
A better way would be to allow individuals to pay to access my workspace. They would gain instant access to the agents I have built, and I could use my workspace URL in a Chrome extension that I could also share.
Why don’t you charge them a subscription via 3rd party payment system and just invite them as a regular workspace member? Are you trying to white label the entire platform?
Jerry, that is the most cost-effective way of deploying multiple agents to a customer. Still, I couldn’t find any MindStudio videos or tutorials discussing the topic of deploying multiple agents to a consumer. This is odd, considering we are encouraged to build a large number of agents.
We don’t facilitate customer payments on MindStudio, but you can do this arrangement:
- Create a fresh MindStudio workspace on Pro or Business
- Curate the workspace appropriately with the agents that you want
- Use a subscription management platform such as Stan Store (How to Create a Recurring Membership Product - Stan Store Help Center), Kajabi, etc.
- Once a user subscribes, add them as a workspace member - user will have access to all workspace agents (run only) + MS chrome extension
Thanks Jerry. I have a Wix store that uses a paywall, but it sounds like the method is identical. It makes more sense to deploy 50 agents this way. If possible, could something be added to the official MindStudio documentation? I don’t think the general public is aware of this option, and none of the documentation describes this workaround.
If you know any Mindstudio partners who are using this method, could you share their details? I want to exchange ideas to promote the Mindstudio platform and this cost-effective solution, as it is more practical than embedding.
